AN impressive knock of 81 not out from Corsham's Mark Hadrill set them up for a total that Taunton could not match.
Corsham skipper Neil Shardlow won the toss and elected to bat first at their Station Road ground.
Shardlow himself opened the batting with Rob Shillaker and the pair put on 30 for the first wicket before the skipper went lbw to Gary Bennett on 13 runs.
Dwain Winter joined Shillaker and the pair made steady progress before Winter also fell on the unlucky 13-run mark when he was caught and bowled by Reg Keates.
Shillaker continued to progress his runs total as Richard Foley joined him at the crease with Corsham on 72-2.
But the pair only added five more runs before Shillaker was making his way back to the pavilion after being caught by Jack Cooper of the bowling of Keates.
Steve Copland came in at number five and together with Foley helped Corsham add another 40 runs to their total.
Copland was eventually caught by Bennett of Keates for a useful 25 runs.
That brought Hadrill to the crease and during his partnerships with Foley, Toby Sharpe and Peter Dennett he helped Corsham more than double their total.
The home side were on 186 when Foley was eventually run-out on 31. Sharpe joined Hadrill and made 14 before being bowled by Adam Kelly.
Dennett then came in to partner Hadrill and the pair batted out the remaining overs to see Corsham finish their innings on 236-6.
Corsham then had the best possible start to their bowling when David Higginson was caught by Shardlow off Toby Sharpe's bowling for a duck.
Gary Bennett joined Jack Cooper at the crease and the pair took Taunton to 57 before Cooper was bowled LBW by Foley.
Bennett followed for the addition of only 12 more runs after being bowled LBW by Craig Chaplin.
Chris Gange provided a test for the Corsham bowlers as he started racking up some runs.
But he kept losing partners as Taunton started to slip behind the required run rate.
The only batsmen who built up decent partnerships with Gange were Rob Berry (20) and Reg Keates (36).
When Adam Kelly was bowled by Sharpe Taunton were reduced to 215-8.
Steven Greaves joined Gange at the crease but they never had a hope of beating Corsham's target and the Taunton innings ended on 222-8 after their allotted 55 overs.
Toby Sharpe 3-72 and Craig Chaplin 2-42 were the pick of the Corsham bowlers.
Corsham 2nd did not fare as well when they travelled to face Taunton's 2nd on Saturday.
Corsham won the toss and elected to bat but were then skittled out for a disappointing 76 all out. Opener Bultitude top scored with 71.
With a modest total to chase Taunton reached the figure after 15.2 overs with the loss of only one wicket.
Acornley bowled opener Manley who made 36 but Cooper finished 31 not o ut and Jenson 16 not out as Taunton won by nine wickets.
