THE Wednesday club match at Bourton on the Water turned out to be a humdinger with over 1,000lb of fish being caught and there were six individual weights of over 100lb.
Cliff Brown just got the verdict over his brother Fred. Cliff took 128-8-0 ahead of Fred 127-8-0 Pete Sole 122-8-0 and Dale Sole 119-8-0.
Section winners were Dale Sole and Pete Saunders 112lb.
Ridgeway Fisheries Open results: Tuesday evening match went very well with a top weight of 19lb 14oz going to Pete Townsend in three hours. Second was Joe Thompson at 19lb 12oz and third was Kevin Bamford at 19lb 12oz.
Townsend seems to be making the matches his own having now won the last two.
May 30's open match saw the weights just kept getting better. Top was John Bohane with 36lb 6oz. Pete Townsend came a close second with 36lb 3oz and Joe Thompson third with 28lb 2oz.
Sunday's open match proved the fishing just gets better at Ridgeway Fisheries with a top weight being caught by Pete Townsend at 64lb 2oz.
Second place went to Derek Hillier with 36lb 14oz and third to John Williams with 32lb 7oz.
There is now a dip tank at the lake and all landing and keep nets must be dipped prior to starting fishing, anybody seen not doing this will be banned.
The Ivy House lakes Tuesday night league teams of four was a very close run affair with Simon Collins (Ivy House) coming out on top with 18-8-0 from peg eight. He was followed by Alan Smith (Swindon AC) 16-10-0 from peg 49.
Team Deadwood anglers Steve Liston 15-5-0 and Mick Lane 15lb were third and fourth and Richard Baston (Swindon AC) was fifth with 12-12-0.
Team position on the night was: Swindon AC 31pts, Ivy House Red 42pts, Team Deadwood 51pts, Ivy House Club 64 1/2 pts.

Coleview Rover final match of the series at Drayton Reservoir: 1, Andy Bright 120lb 121/2oz; 2, Trevor Wyse 102lb 81/2oz; 3, Graham Cooper 110lb 3oz.
Overall series of five, winner was Nigel Sawyer 56pts. Second on a weight advantage was Graham Cooper 54pts, the same points as Kevin Bamford who finished third.
