THERE will be a double helping of village fete celebrations in Aldbourne this year.
Its traditional village fete will take place as usual on Saturday, June 26, with the church bells signalling the start of the event at 2pm.
There will be dancing, music from the Aldbourne Band, puppet shows, pony rides and a ducking stool.
Visitors will be able to enjoy a cream tea in a cottage garden, browse around the stalls and wander around St Michael's Church to see floral decorations and enjoy the view from the church tower. And Aldbourne Light Entertainment Company will be performing The Village Fete by Peter Tinniswood at the Memorial Hall on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, from June 24 to 26, at 7.30pm.
Tickets for the show are available from Aldbourne Post Office.
