Rodbourne Cheney and Cricklade are going great guns in the Swindon & District 4-Rink League, both teams winning all five of their matches so far.
Cricklade head the table, a point above Cheney, with Shrivenham eight points behind in third place.
Cricklade were in top form against Wootton Bassett A, winning 102-71.
Dennis Impey and Eddie Wells' rinks won by hefty margins (23-12 and 32-13) with John Witts weighing in with a 25-21 win over Darren Wilson. Chris Jones picked up two points for Bassett, beating Colin Missen 25-22.
Rodbourne Cheney did equally well against Wroughton, winning 86-71.
Hillier and Roger Cornish finished 20 shots each in a nail-biter and Wroughton's Jim Hunter pushed Dave Jones all the way before losing 23-19. But there were comfortable rink wins for Gary Morphet (22-16 over Roly Jefferies) and Carter (21-16 over Stan Clapton).
In a cracking match, Highworth tied 83 shots each with Swindon both sides winning two rinks apiece.
Highworth's Bert Smith beat John Witcombe 25-9 and John Emmerson accounted for Les Little 24-19.
Swindon fought back with rink wins from Norman New (26-18 over Chris Blount) and Nicky Noyes (26-16over Clive Humphreys).
