WORK has to be carried out on 24 homes at a Bradford estate after part of a roof fell down, sparking safety fears across the whole estate.
After a quarter of a tonne of stone fell off the roof of a home at the Bailey's Barn development, which was completed just 18 months ago, on May 23, developer Taylor Woodrow ordered urgent inspections.
A spokesman from Taylor Woodrow said: "Four properties at Bailey's Barn requiring remedial work were identified following two inspections at the development.
"All work was completed before the close of business on May 28."
"A schedule of work is now underway for eight houses and 12 apartments where there is no immediate risk.
"All purchasers whose homes are affected have been informed."
The £1.4m development, officially opened in December, was originally undertaken by Wain Homes, which was then taken over by Wilson Connelly, which was in turn taken over by Taylor Woodrow at the end of last year.
