THE new plans for Bradford on Avon's Kingston Mill site have come under fire in the town.
Despite positive comments from the public at a recent exhibition of the latest proposals for the site, criticisms have been raised.
County councillor Malcolm Hewson said: "I am extremely concerned with the extent to which housing is taking over what is meant to be a mixed development, and plans for a large car park directly behind New Mill will effectively prevent non-resident pedestrians from exploring beyond the very front of the site."
The Bradford on Avon Traffic and Transport Forum has also raised concerns about the site becoming a housing estate for commuters and about the affect the site could have on traffic and pollution problems in the town.
The data collected at the exhibition will now be analysed by the independent Prince's Foundation.
The next step in the process will be a public meeting, chaired by the Prince's Foundation due to be held at St Margaret's Hall on June 30.
