Ref. 30858-6JACQUIE Philpott has seen a swift improvement in her son Callan's behaviour.
Callan, 11, was referred a month ago because his temper tantrums were disrupting lessons.
According to Jacquie, 33, Callan is a different boy.
"It has really turned him around," she said.
"I was really worried that he was going downhill big time. Now he is like a different person."
During the programme, it emerged that Callan's outbursts were sparked by his reading problems, which embarrassed him in class.
"He knew if he threw a tantrum he would get thrown out of class and wouldn't have to read," said Jacquie, of School Court, Gorse Hill.
"He got it into his head that he was stupid, but this course made him realise he isn't."
Callan urged other wayward youngsters to take up the scheme.
"I used to get really stressed about reading, but I'm feeling better about it now," said the Gorse Hill Junior School pupil.
"I was getting into trouble, and I think I would have got in with the wrong crowd when I go to Headlands in the autumn, and have ended up being really naughty.
"Other kids like me should get their parents to get them on the course."
