Ref. 30855-94EURO FEVER: MANY like to wear their hearts on their sleeve, but one patriotic Swindon couple have taken that a step further.
Instead of a posh meal out to celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary, Pat and Jenny Jefferies, who have four children, decided to transform their Park North home into an England shrine.
And it's certainly getting attention from their neighbours in Dulverton Avenue.
"It's just a bit of fun," said Mr Jefferies. "We couldn't afford an expensive celebration, so we decided to do something to cheer ourselves up. We spent our anniversary putting it all up and I think people quite like it."
While their efforts earned the family a round of applause from the dustman earlier this week, eldest daughter Claire, 14, has yet to be convinced. Mr Jefferies said: "I think she gets a bit embarrassed when her mates walk by."
