EMPLOYERS can access funding to improve the skills of their workers under two separate training initiatives.
The Free2Learn scheme is a pilot being run by the Wilt-shire and Swindon Learning and Skills Council.
It will pay the training costs and compensate the company for the wages employees earn while training.
Since its launch in 2002, the Free2Learn pilot has funded 750 organisations, which has helped 6,500 employees to improve their work skills.
Marion Sweet, spokes-woman for the LSC, said: "Free2Learn is also popular with employers because they decide what training is needed and the style of training that will suit."
Employers interested in Free2Learn funding should call 0845 751 2288 or visit www.free2learn.org for more details.
Fast Forward provides training for businesses in Wiltshire and Berkshire.
Government funding is available for qualifications like NVQs, the Certificate in Team Leading, Basic Skills and Health and Safety.
Money is available for individual places on courses or alternatively training can be delivered in the work-place.
