A RALLYING cry has gone out to Penhill residents to help get neighbours from hell thrown off the estate.
Penhill borough councillors David Glaholm and Andy Harrison want householders to band together to get troublesome neighbours evicted.
They say the recent case involving the Ainsley family shows that people power works.
Last month Lesley Ainsley, of Avebury Road, Penhill, was given six weeks to leave after her two children waged a campaign of terror against neighbours.
Residents formed an action group and this helped the Swindon Council to get an eviction order.
The group is working with the police to make the area safer.
Coun Glaholm (Lab, Penhill) said: "People must not be frightened to come forward.
"You will often find other people back up your complaints.
"The families causing prob-lems know who they are.
"At the end of the day, they can go and live in a tent for all I care."
Coun Harrison, (Lab, Penhill), added: "People's quality of life suffers because of these families.
"It can make them dread going home.
"A home should be a place of comfort, not hell.
"But it has been proved that people can empower themselves and take a stand."
Anybody having problems with disruptive neighbours is invited to call Coun Harrison on 01793 722135.
