30905-54A SPECTACULAR display of bright red poppies has proved to be a crowd puller.
Millions have sprung up in the fields near Faringdon Folly, off the A420 on the Swindon to Oxford road. And motorists have been stopping by the dozen to enjoy the sight.
Among them was Simon Collins, his wife Brinde and three-year-old daughter Mia Rose, pictured above, from Chilbury near Wantage.
Mr Collins said: "I love poppies. They are such a symbolic flower, so when I saw this I had to bring the family.
"It seems to be a real traffic stopper. There always seem to be a few cars at the side of the road, with some people taking photos."
The picture (Ref: 30905-54) was taken by Evening Advertiser photographer Matthew Swingler, using a Nikon D1 digital camera with a 17-35mm lens, set at 28mm with a shutter speed of 125th of a second and an aperture of F14.
