I JUST cannot believe, in the light of recent and much highlighted cases of child abduction and abuse, such as those of tragic Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, that so many parents chose to let their young children play so far away from home.
Certainly, where I live, in Thorney Park, parents do not seem to care if their children, some as young as just three or four years old are off wandering by the bus stop or park.
I have seen little ones of this age out in the dark and on their own. It would take a split second for a pervert to grab one of these poor little souls and bundle them into a car.
Then there are all the children playing out on the roads who don't even move out of the way when a vehicle approaches.
Do these parents not care? Are they not learning their lesson from these tragic cases?
For goodness sake please know where your children are.
