Chippenham under 11s had an impressive 130-run victory in their Bath League match at Devizes.
Batting first, Chippenham got off to a fine start through Josh Bull (55 not out) and Brad Dawson (29). Uzi Qureshi then struck a quick 49 not out to take Chippenham to 163-1 in their 20 overs.
In reply, Devizes had no reply to accurate Chippenham bowling. Ed McCormack, in his first game, took 2-10 and the other main wicket takers were Jack Young (2-10), Andy Edwards (2-3), and Dawson (2-6). Devizes were eventually bowled out for just 31.
Chippenham under 13 indulged in a run feast in their Bath League match away to Bradford. James Vince (40) got the visitors off to a flying start and then Tom Young (59 not out off 49 balls) and Marcus Brown (99 not out off just 52 balls) took Chippenham to 220-2 in their 20 overs.
Brown hit 16 fours and two sixes in his hard-hitting innings. Bradford managed 80-6 in reply to leave Chippenham winners by 136 runs.
Chippenham under 13's batting let them down in the County Cup quarter final away to local rivals Biddestone.
Martin Sawyer (31 retired) batted well for Biddestone as the home side posted 81-4 in their 20 overs. Captain James Vince (30 retired) led the Chippenham reply, but the other batting faltered and Chippenham collapsed to 71 all out in 14.2 overs to leave Biddestone winners by 10 runs.
Chippenham under 15 had a 61-run victory at home to Frome. Scores: Chippenham 127-3 (Liam Dawson 60), Frome 66 all out (Qureshi 4-4.
