Division 2 leaders Nomads continued their fine form in the Swindon Evening League with a highly unlikely seven-run win at Stratton.

Put in to bat, Nomads were ripped apart by Tanner's seven-wicket haul and were bowled out for a mere 70.

But some tight bowling by Preddy (3-9) and Thomas (2-12) ensured a victory as Stratton could only manage 63-7.

Wroughton Wranglers lost their way, going down at home by 20 runs to WH Smith who scored 122-7, Liam Tucker top scoring with 29.

The Wranglers were then shot out for 102 in the chase with Mark Gregory making 50.

Nationwide 2 are on the leader's tails after a comfortable home win over Chameleon. The visitors made 119- 3 with Kurnyta hitting a fine 50. Johnny Reivers hit an equally admirable 50 and his fellow Aussie Shane Thompson was 45 not out as Nationwide eased passed the target in making 122-1.

Castrol finally got off the mark in Division One with a win over Southwest Fasteners. Chris Addey made an excellent 104 not out and with a little help from Arran Dickinson (38) and Will Nichols (27 not out), reached 176-2.

In reply Southwest hit 21 off the first over, but Andy Phipps kept things quiet with 3-31 off his five overs before Gordon Haywood with 43 not out and Stuart Smith with 25 brought the visitors to a creditable 139-6.

Nalgo maintained their unbeaten start to the season, their latest victims being Swindon Mortgages.

Rafiq hit 70 and Johal 36 as Nalgo rattled up 174-8.

Despite a gallant 62 from Darren Milne, the Mortgages could only manage 122-6 in response.

Winterbourne were literally wide of the mark in their encounter with Nationwide as Gallimore scored 50 not out in their total of 143-4. Nationwide made 144-7 in reply, 30 of the winning runs coming in wides, with three balls to spare.

In the latest round of matches in Division Three, Fox & Hounds defeated Litten Tree. The Fox had to thank Joe Jenkins' unbeaten 76 in their total of 138-4.

The Tree were pinned down by Matt Dale who only conceded nine runs in his five overs while Greg Harris picked up 4-42 as the Tree could only manage 98-8 in reply.

Motorola remain the other unbeaten side as Mark Solway with 68 and Jamal Khan with 58 helped them to 165-8. Monahans could not quite keep up the pace in the chase and ended on 118-6.

Ashbury continue their dismal run with a fifth successive defeat as they were restricted to 55-5 with tight bowling from Ian Morton (2-10) and Tim Chalk (3-26). This was in reply to Sevenfields' 134-3, Eddie Halt making 44 not out.

Phoenix remained unbeaten in Division Four as they hit 155-5, with James Townsend scoring 46 and Simon King 30. Anchor in reply were kept to 78- 9 with Les Curtis taking 6-23.

L&K Skips went to Pipers Way and beat Nationwide 3. Alan Dyton made 21 and David Snowdon 20 as the Skips were bowled out for 85. Nationwide were then dismissed for 72 as Wayne Belcher took 5-14.
