THE Idlers continued their good form with an away win at Amport.
Their new captain, Andy Harms, having returned from university, lost his first toss and The Idlers were asked to bat.
After a shaky start in which they lost two quick wickets - James and Douse both getting ducks - Harms, 66, and Ed Cima, 24, found good rhythm and set the runs flowing.
Dave Harms came to the crease and knocked a useful 25 but there was little support from the lower order and The Idlers were all out for 139 from only 26 overs.
The Idlers took to the field and opening bowler Simeon Douse, claimed a diamond duck with his first delivery thanks to a superb mid-off catch from his skipper.
Martin Clements then continued for The Idlers with a match-winning spell of bowling, finishing with figures of 6-25 from seven overs.
After more good bowling from Tom Aiken, 2-11, and Cima, 2-18, and a record four impressive catches from wicket keeper Lee James, The Idlers managed to dismiss Amport II for 107 and stretch their winning streak to four games climbing to fifth in the table.
