Zara Phillips and Dingbat go clear in their show-jumping round. Staff pictures by LARA BALL. DA5764P18.WILTON Horse Trials proved a popular attraction at the weekend when some 400 competitors took part in the 28th annual event on the estate of the ancestral home of the Earl of Pembroke.
Zara Phillips, who just missed out on a place on the British Olympic team, was among the riders at the venue over a competitive two days.
Amanda Winter triumphed on Rubric in section A of the novice competition, while Alice Bromfield and Dubiety Brown took the honours in the junior regional novice contest.
Local rider Clayton Fredericks had to settle for second place on Jimberingga in section G of the intermediate behind Heidi Reed on The Merchant of Venice.
