WOOTTON Bassett Town Council needs more funding for litter collection in the town.
Coun Chris Wannell wants to ask North Wiltshire District Council the authority responsible for street cleaning to contribute more money.
The town council provides a top-up service in addition to the one provided by the district, which only covers the town centre.
Town council staff collect and dispose around 800 bags of litter a day.
Coun Wannell wants to ask the district council to fund the disposal of the litter once it is collected.
He will be asking the town's amenities committee to support his representation to the district council.
The meeting takes place tonight at 7.45pm in the council chamber, Station Road.
