DARREN Waldie, 33, of no fixed address, has been sent to prison for six months for breaching his anti-social behaviour order for a third time.
Waldie, who previously lived in Waiblingen Way, Devizes, was sent to prison by magistrates sitting in Chippenham on June 2.
He was arrested by police in the early evening of June 1 for being drunk in the Market Place.
An anti social behaviour order was imposed on Waldie last November after he was convicted of a number of drink related offences.
Last summer Waldie and other troublemakers caused havoc by getting drunk in public places including the Market Place. Waldie first breached his order a week after it was imposed when police found him in the Dolphin Inn in Northgate Street. He was fined £50. In December he was sent to prison for five months for breaching his order when he was found drinking in the Market Place.
Insp Pete Bowerbank said: "Use of this legislation is reflected in the substantial decrease in drunken behaviour."
