BUDDING Tim Henmans and Venus Williams can enjoy free tennis lessons under an annual programme run by the Lawn Tennis Association.
The Delta Tennis Centre, in Westlea, is opening its doors on Sunday, July 11, to give everyone, especially beginners, a chance to take advantage of the offer.
The day is open to players of all ages and abilities.
Hundreds of venues around the country are expected to take part with about 60,000 people joining in making it the UK's biggest sporting participation event.
Gail Light, Tennis Manager for Swindon Services, said: "We hope the day will attract kids and adults to try their hand at tennis and become long-term players of the game.
"We want to show that the club is a welcoming and friendly place for people to start playing this fun and fantastic game."
Play Tennis Day opens at 10am. There is a range of events throughout the day, including sessions for Under-fives, Mini Tennis, Beat the Coach, Fastest Serve, Targets, Tennis for Adult Beginners and Tennis for Teenagers.
Players can turn up on the day but booking is advisable.
