Focus is a group that looks out for the carer's needs, by means of support, information, activities and opportunities for relaxation throughout the year.
Carers are also advised on benefits and given access to professional counselling.
Gillian Barber, general manager of Swindon's Focus, said: "Many people with caring responsibilities ignore their own health needs and focus entirely on those of the person for whom they care.
"We all dread illness and possible hospitalisation, but for people caring at home the impact of such a situation developing cannot be contemplated and often symptoms of ill health are ignored.
"Through the activities and promotions of Carers' Week, we aim to encourage all people with caring responsibilities to care for their own health."
Over the next week, carers can look forward to a series of events, designed specifically to remind them that their efforts are appreciated:
Thursday June 17: Health screening days at the Carers' Centre. Carers can share concerns they may have over their own health.
Friday June 18: 2pm 4pm: Tea party at The Apartment, in Havelock Square. Guests will include North Swindon MP Michael Wills, Swindon councillors, and health professionals.
Saturday June 19: Stress management course at Kingshill House, Bath Road, Old Town, in collaboration with Swindon Psychiatric and Counselling Services.
