VICE girl Carina Matysiak has been told by a judge to clean up her act or end up back in jail.
The 24-year-old was ordered to stay off drugs, not return to her old ways and remain free from offending or she will be heading back to prison.
Matysiak appeared at Swindon Crown Court to face sentence after failing to complete a probation order imposed after she did not complete a drug treatment and testing order for blackmail.
She has now vowed to clean up her life and has had her sentence deferred for four months, which means if she stays out of trouble and off drugs she could stay out of prison.
Matysiak, who at one stage had a £500 a day drug habit, has numerous convictions for prostitution. She is one of a number of girls banned from the red light area of town after the council got injunctions against them and she had been jailed twice for breaching it.
But since a serious car crash earlier this year, which left her with spinal problems and suffering continuous pain, she has again vowed to sort out her life.
Last year, when she was first jailed for breaking the injunction, she made a heartfelt plea to keep her liberty saying she was turning her back on prostitution.
But she was jailed and after her release from prison she continued to breach the injunction and was arrested at least five times in the months leading up to November last year.
At the latest hearing the court heard that she was convicted by a jury of four counts of blackmail after a trial in autumn 2002. She and a man went to a 10th floor flat in Torrington Court. They threatened violence and demanded money and jewellery from four people after claiming the victims owed them drugs money.
After being convicted by the jury she was put on a residential drug treatment and testing order but that failed when she was expelled from the hostel. A few months later a court imposed a two-year probation order, which she did not complete.
Passing the deferred sentence, Judge Tom Longbotham warned her the alternative was a prison sentence.
