I WAS delighted to see that the council has moved the goalposts to the football pitch in Hillworth Park in order to allow the worn grass to be revived.
The areas of bald pitch were seeded and in the initial stages started to grow. However, as the dry period progressed someone forgot to water the tender shoots. The results are that we are now back to square one. Surely, as the council uses contractors to water the hanging baskets they could incorporate the pitch in their round? This must be cheaper than perpetually reseeding or moving the goalposts.
