CHIPPENHAM NEWS: A NURSERY school has been praised by government education inspectors for providing a good start in life and for securing partnerships with parents.
The Honey Pot Nursery in Corsham has been marked as 'very good' in the latest round of Ofsted inspections.
It is the highest mark the nursery has received since it opened on the Corsham Regis Primary School grounds eight years ago.
Among the initiatives praised by the government was a comments book allowing parents and teachers to follow a child's progression through the nursery.
Chris Hughes, owner and manager, said: "I think we try and move with the times. We try to meet the requirements without straying from our main objectives, which has been to provide quality care and education.
"This is the best mark we have ever received and we are very pleased with it, during the verbal feedback the inspector was saying how impressed she was and I'm very glad she has put that in the report."
The inspector reported that the nursery's partnership with parents was one of its key strengths and noted children's concentration, enthusiasm, and imagination.
The Honey Pot Nursery currently cares for 44 children.
