28377/1BUDDING supermodels were strutting their stuff on the catwalk at a Westbury school this week.
Youngsters at Bitham Brook Primary put on a fashion show to raise funds for the school and provide an entertaining evening for parents.
Diane Perrett, of the Friends of Bitham Brook, said: "It was really good, it was a wonderful atmosphere and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves."
Thirty six pupils took part, modelling clothes provided by Swindon-based company, Sargeo Kids, which then went on sale after the show.
Five children from each year group, aged between five and 11, took part.
The event is expected to raise about £400 for the school, which will go towards a planned refurbishment of the library.
The Friends have already raised £7,000 to pay for new play equipment, which has just been installed at the school.
Mrs Perrett said: "Everyone has done really well. We get a lot of help from teachers, governors, parents and the children themselves."
The next big day at the school will be the summer fair on July 3 from 11am.
