ANDY Ellett smashed a brutal 82 not out as Winsley raced to a convincing nine wicket win at Hanham.
The opener's belligerent innings saw Winsley record their second successive win after three losses and climb the Bristol and North Somerset league table.
Hanham won the toss and elected to bat, but were soon pushed back by the bowling of Peter Orchard and captain John Spencer.
The pair reduced the home side to 43-5 at tea with Spencer finishing on 4-24 and Orchard a miserly 1-21 from 13 overs.
Some determined middle order batting saw Hanham recover to 131-6 in their 45 overs, but with a meagre target on the board Ellett was in no mood to hang around. He and opening partner Richard Witts racked up boundaries at will before Witts was out lbw for 25.
More (27 not out) joined Ellett at the crease as the pair knocked off the runs with ease.
Spencer said: "We probably bowled and fielded as we've done this year and the wicket got easier as the game went on.
"We've been very unfortunate early on this season and lady luck has now turned herself around.
"Hopefully we can keep it up against Timsbury on Saturday."
The following day saw Neil Harris record Winsley's first double century and beat the club's previous best of 187 not out by Richard Morrell. Harris was out for 207 from the penultimate ball away at Beanacre and has already amassed 750 runs this season.
He said: "As a batsman you always try and better your best score, but it will be a while before I do that now, if ever."
