A HOST of school bands and community groups from across west Wiltshire will entertain visitors at this year's Picnic in the Park.
Trowbridge Park will be awash with music and free entertainment later this month, as organisers try to match the success of last year's event, which raised cash for Save the Children's Beat Poverty campaign.
Up and coming band Caffeine Kill will launch proceedings at 11am, with bands from The John of Gaunt School, Clarendon School, Matravers School and the Lindsay Howard Academy of Dance and newly-formed band StarBurstz performing.
The event also features fairground rides, stalls, raffles, inflatables and refreshment stands.
Funds raised from the event will be donated to Save the Children's Skip a Treat campaign, which encourages people to miss anything from chocolate bars to rounds of golf, and donate the money to the campaign instead.
Pitches are still available for the event on June 27 and can be booked by calling (01225) 405783.
