ASDA worker John Bishop was the envy of his colleagues last night after he won an all-expenses paid trip to see England's Euro 2004 clash with Switzerland.
Bishop, who was given the prize by managers at the Trowbridge store, was keeping his fingers crossed that Sven's men would round off his dream trip with a victory.
But the 19-year-old warehouse worker admits he is not a huge football fan.
The offer came because the Trowbridge supermarket was one of the top four Asda stores in the country for selling Carlsberg beer. The brewing giant is an official sponsor at Euro 2004 and offered a ticket to a worker at each of the four stores as a prize.
Bishop, who lives in Taylors View, Trowbridge, said: "I was delighted. The woman who runs the beers, wines and spirits section was chosen before me as it was her department, but she didn't want to go.
"I didn't even know we had the tickets. They called me into the office and said would I like to go."
Bishop added: "I do like football, but if someone asks me if I support a football team I say I don't really know. The guys at work are a bit envious of me, but pleased at the same time.
"With a big ticket like this you would think it might go to a manager. But they are pleased to see a colleague getting it."
