28374/5THE lucky winner of the Wiltshire Times Win A Kitchen competition had to endure the tension right up to the end this week.

Julia Hale, from Bradford on Avon, was the last of the 10 finalists to have a chance to win a kitchen worth up to £5,000 from the Kitchen Studio, in Bradley Road, Trowbridge.

Each of the finalists had to pick out a cupboard in one of the kitchens in the showroom and open it up to find out if they were the lucky winner and Mrs Hale was the last person to take her turn.

She said: "I am absolutely delighted. You enter these competitions thinking you've got nothing to lose but you will never win and this was just so totally unexpected."

The competition attracted over 200 entries, with those taking part having to come up with a slogan saying why they should get the prize.

Mrs Hale won with the lines 'Our kitchen is a big disgrace, no space! Please help put a smile on our face'.

Mrs Hale, who lives with husband Steve and children Charlotte, 11 and Matthew, eight, said: "I'll see if I can win some more competitions and get the rest of the house done."
