ON hearing about the two recent accidents at West Ashton crossroads my first reaction was to put it down to driver error.
However, on considering the matter I feel that the conflicting signals given at these traffic lights played a large part.
We have been led to believe all these years that green meant go. However, there it means go but only in certain circumstances.
These traffic lights should be changed immediately to a configuration which gives everyone a chance and where green means an unambiguous go.
After all, these lights were supposedly put there to prevent accidents not contribute to them.
