Children are being urged to put their creative skills to the test to highlight young people with dementia.
Kingshill Research Centre has teamed up with Shire Pharmaceuticals to produce a competition to mark Alzheimer's Awareness Week, from July 4 to 10.
Children aged from four to 16 years are invited to create posters to show their understanding of dementia.
There will be three age groups for entries, four to six years, seven to 10 years and 11 to 16 years. Prizes are provided by Toy Zone.
There will also be an information stall in the Food Court at the Designer Outlet Village on July 7 from 10.30am until 4pm. Entries to the poster competition should be no larger than A4, and include name, age and address of the child on the back.
The Alzheimer's Society website is a good source of information and inspiration www.alzheimers.org.uk
Send entries to Kingshill Research Centre, Victoria Hospital, Okus Road, Swindon, SN1 4HZ.
