15296/2PUPILS from a Trowbridge secondary school hit the right notes during an evening of music and song.
Up to 40 students from Clarendon School, aged between 11 and 18, took part in the event at St Mary's Church, Steeple Ashton, last Tuesday.
Among the musicians were the junior and senior choirs, Year 7 choir and the Clarendon orchestra, who performed a wide variety of music ranging from pop songs to opera and folk to classical.
Rehearsing in their own time, the students had a say in the format and make-up of the summer concert.
Teacher David Bullock said the rehearsal process allowed the children to show off their musical skills and gave them a target to aim for.
"It was a very pleasant evening of music," Mr Bullock said.
