DOG walkers can have a great day out, get fit and raise money for charity all in one day in an event for the Wiltshire Times 150 fund.
Trowbridge couple Michelle Ainger and Andrew Corcoran are organising a sponsored dog walk for the fund and they want people to join them.
Miss Ainger said: "We want to ask along reliable people who will pick up after their dogs and close gates, and generally obey the country code."
Miss Ainger, who works at Silver Street News, has done charity work for the RSPCA in the past and has always kept dogs.
She and Mr Corcoran will be taking their two English Springer Spaniels, Zeb and Fitz, along on the walk.
They haven't yet settled on a route, but are considering walking along part of the Kennet and Avon Canal towpath.
For music lovers in the area two more fundraising events are planned for next month. Trowbridge band Switch On will be performing at Melksham house on July 3, and the Buttmonkeys and The Usual Suspects, a Commitments tribute band, will be sharing the stage at the Civic Hall in Trowbridge on July 16, from 8pm.
Anyone interested in the sponsored dog walk in September can contact Miss Ainger on (01225) 765964.
