WE left the Algarve at 8am and drove the 450km north up to Coimbra. Everyone was mixing really well, which was great to see.
There were a lot of England fans in the town square and I even spotted a couple of Swindon Town flags.
The game started slowly and the heat played a big part. It was 34/35 degrees centigrade and it took a while for them to get started.
The Swiss were not a pushover. It was an even match until we scored the first goal.
The Swiss sending-off changed the game. We starting to pass it around more and took advantage of the extra man.
The build-up for the third goal was excellent with the crowd playing a big role, cheering on the lads with various chants.
Wayne Rooney played very well, but he has to control the aggressive side to his game. He deserves to get man of the match. Both of his goals were excellent.
We can take a lot of heart from this game and hopefully we can come out with another three points against Croatia on Monday in Lisbon.
The match between France and England at the Estadio da Luz is many people's choice for match of the tournament so far, and would probably win hands down in a vote by the gay community.
France striker Thierry Henry is the biggest gay icon in Euro 2004, according to Portuguese newspaper 24 Horas. Henry pips England's David Beckham to second while third comes Wayne Rooney, the teenage England forward.
