WARMINSTER mini rugby club recently celebrated their end of season with a presentation evening at the United Services Club.
The prizes were presented by Bath Rugby players Gareth Delve and Gareth Knox.
It has been a very successful year for the club with an increase in numbers to 120 boys and girls doubling the numbers from last year.
The coaching staff have all attended many courses and four of them have passed the Level 1 Coaching course.
All these factors have led to many good results, with the high point being the Warminster Festival where the under 12s won their age group, the under 11s reached the semi final and the under 10s reached their final only just losing in the last minutes of the game.
The club would like to thank to Mr and Mrs Cottle of Field Fayre Catering who have throughout the season supplied the club with hot snacks providing the boys with free food after every home game.
Another high point for the club was a visit by the under 10s to Bath Rugby.
The squad played a game on Bath's famous Recreation Ground, toured the ground and met many of the Bath players.
In his speech the chairman Simon Pick spoke of the progress made this year.
The club is moving forward and everyone involved is looking forward to the new season starting at the beginning of September.
Warminster Mini Rugby Club will welcome any enthusiastic new players to their ground at Folly Lane.
