HUNDREDS of miniature lead soldiers seized in a burglary bust are to be reunited with their owner.
Swindon police discovered £2,000 worth of the collectable toys during a raid earlier this year.
The military figurines are from several different conflicts, including the Crimean and Boer wars and the two World Wars.
The haul, stolen from a house in Rodbourne, also included army vehicles.
One of the undercover detectives who found the items said: "The owner is an enthusiast who travels to a specialist shop in Tintagel, Cornwall, to buy the toys.
"He was delighted when I called to let him know we had found them.
"It's always a good result when we not only make an arrest, but also return the goods to the owner."
Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the burglary. They are both being held in custody for other matters.
l Police are appealing for the owner of two pocket watches found during the raid to come forward.
The watches are inscribed with serial numbers.
One, which has a black face, has the number GSTP L6263 on the back.
The other, with a white face, is number GSTP K09071.
