POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a robbery at a Salisbury bookmakers.
The incident happened at 6.20pm on Sunday, when the man walked into William Hill, in the Cheesemarket, and demanded the manager hand over money from the safe, before leaving with a quantity of cash.
A witness believes he saw the robber carrying a gun, although police have yet to confirm this.
The man is described as white, wearing a black balaclava. He was between 5ft 10 and 6ft tall, possibly with a beard and wearing a blue anorak and blue jeans.
