KIDS in this country are not the only ones keen on a game of football whether it's watching their favourites battle it out in Portugal for Euro 2004 or kicking a ball about themselves.
The Yorkshire Building Society is asking mums to help children in one of Europe's most under-privileged countries get on the ball and generate more drawer space into the bargain.
It is aiming to kit out children's teams in the former Yugoslav republic of Macedonia.
Although it has been collecting around 5000 unwanted football shirts since December, few are in children's sizes.
To get the right gear to youngsters in Macedonia, it wants mums to rifle through wardrobes to find any football shirts that children have outgrown or no longer regard as cool.
It could bear the name of a player no longer with their favourite club, or a shirt carrying the logo of a former sponsor or maybe it is just too small for them.
Take it to your nearest branch of the Yorkshire Building Society or send it to Send Skirts to Skopje, c/o Catapult PR, 19a-20a Marsh Hill Village, Thornton Cleveleys, Lancashire FY5 4JZ.
