SOUTH Wilts II's bowlers had to contend with an in-form overseas player as South African Will Proz-esky hit 79, but it was an altogether better performance that last week's.
Shaun Little, playing his first game of the season, picked up a couple of wickets, 2-63, and Dan Webb produced a fine spell of 1-36 bowling at the death, but the target of 284 was not beyond the realms of possibility.
South Wilts' best chance of winning was if rain struck. They were ahead on run rate and were going well at 66-1 off 15 overs (Taylor, 25, Williams 26 not out).
However, for the run rate rule to count, 25 overs have to be completed and when the rain came there was no chance of any further play and the match was abandoned.
