A WARNING to Wiltshire businesses about scam letters demanding money for health and safety registration has been renewed.
Trading standards officers say the letters are from organisations with names such as the Health and Safety Enforcement Agency.
They warn recipients that they face huge fines and possible jail terms unless they pay up to about £240 to 'register'.
Previously, scam letters have been sent in a bid to deceive business people into paying an exorbitant fee for registration under the Data Protection Act.
