Business leaders and entrepreneurs in Chippenham will gather together to discuss the future of industrial heartland Langley Park and the regeneration of Chippenham railway station.
The Town Centre Forum Luncheon is an annual gathering organised by Chippenham Town Council to give business people a chance to network and to hear the latest news on critical town regeneration projects.
The event will be held at the Neeld Hall on July 1 at 12.15pm, and already interest is high.
The keynote speakers will be Wayne Lock, of property magnates Ashtenne Holdings, the owner of Langley Park, and Graham Hiley, Chippenham station project manager for Mouchelle Parkman.
Forum luncheon organiser Emma King said she anticipated some keen discussion about the topics on the table. "I expect there will be some lively debate and people will have lots of questions," she said.
"We expect between 80 and 100 people will attend."
Mr Hiley said he would outline the programme of improvements currently underway on the Chippenham railway station forecourt, the reasons for Wiltshire County Council's improvement scheme, and the process they went through to raise funding from the various interest bodies.
Mr Locke will talk about future plans for Langley Park, which could include building houses on the southern swathe of the industrial estate.
Property magnate Ashtenne, which specialises in boosting commerce in business estates across the UK, paid £33.1 million for Chippenham's Langley Park in February this year.
It was one of 30 companies competing for ownership of the 48-acre industrial estate in north Chippenham.
At the time of the takeover a spokesman for Ashtenne said future plans could include improving the buildings and reorganising the site, which was previously owned by the Skelton Group, which rebranded the former Westinghouse site and renamed it Langley Park.
The southern section of the site, amounting to around 17 acres, is likely to be developed for housing.
