IT'S official - Stratford-sub-Castle Primary is a quality school.
The school has been awarded the Basic Skills Quality Mark for reading, writing, spelling and number work.
The awards applaud the school's strategy to improve pupils' performances by reviewing their progress, training and monitoring staff, encouraging parents to help their children and having good books and other material available.
The quality mark is awarded by the Basic Skills Agency for three years and will be renewed if the school continues to meet the high standards.
This has been a successful year for Stratford-sub-Castle Primary, as the school also won an active mark for its work in promoting physical education and the importance of an active lifestyle.
"I am very proud of the school's achievement and would like to thank the staff for all their hard work, which has made this award possible," said headteacher Kay Williamson.
Wiltshire's director of education, Bob Wolfson, presented both awards to the school last Tuesday.
