BATH YOUTH CRICKET LEAGUE: TROWBRIDGE under 11s beat Bath Blades by an enormous 89 runs on Monday night.
Trowbridge won the toss and batted for the entire 16 overs without giving a wicket away.
Dan Clarkson and Michael Reynolds shared an unbroken 133 run partnership to put all the pressure on to the home side. Clarkson scored his maiden Trowbridge 50, while Reynolds was only just behind, finishing on 49 not out.
The second innings began in spectacular fashion with captain Khyl Harrington taking a wicket with the first ball of the reply. Trowbridge bowled with greater control than their hosts and wickets fell at regular intervals throughout the innings.
The highlight came in the 13th over with Reynolds following up his 49 with a hat-trick of wickets, all bowled.
Bath Blades ended their innings on 44 for seven.
