TOP-PERFORMING companies have been invited to apply for the Queen's Awards for Enterprise 2005.
There are three categories international trade, innovation, and sustainable development.
The last winner from the Swindon area was Motorola in 2000 in the international trade category.
Stephen Brice, acting Queen's Awards secretary, said: "There's a misconception that only big companies win Queen's awards, but nearly half of the 2004 winners have fewer than 50 employees."
The closing date for this year's awards is midnight on October 31, and anyone wishing to enter can call 0870 513 4486 or visit www.queensawards.org.uk for an application form.
