15367/3WILTSHIRE Times editorial staff scooped two top awards at the second annual Wiltshire Media Awards on Thursday.
Trevor Porter was named photographer of the year and Craig Evry won reporter of the year at the event, organised by the National Union of Journalists.
Mr Porter said: "It was an honour to win this award for the second year running and I would like to thank all the staff at the Wiltshire Times in the end it all comes down to teamwork and good contacts."
The judges chose Mr Porter as the winner on the basis of pictures taken at a siege in Trowbridge, along with images of the summer solstice, Rowan Atkinson's visit to Castle Combe and the aftermath of an arson attack.
Judges were impressed by Mr Evry's coverage of stories including the Trowbridge siege, the Randle Williams murder trial and the Justice for Zoe campaign.
He said: "I am delighted to be recognised by the NUJ as I was up against a lot of talented journalists from daily and weekly papers."
Editor Toby Granville said: "It is fantastic it is recognised that your weekly newspaper has the most talented reporter and photographer in Wiltshire as part of its award-winning editorial staff."
