UNTIL JULY 3 2004, BATH: Get to the bottom of your underwear drawer and book a theatre trip to Bath next month.
Quintessential English lady Rosemary Hawthorne is coming to the Theatre Royal on July 1.
Rosemary is an authority on underwear from pantaloons and pantalettes to divided drawers, bloomers and bikinis.
She will serve up a delightful mix of costume and social history, with a dash of pure cabaret.
No stranger to the stage, Rosemary is a former RADA pupil and always displayed a passion for costume as an actress. She said: "My knickers and I have performed in the most privileged aristocratic drawing rooms, splendidly middle class mansions, virtuously respectable village halls, theatres, down-town clubs and the grandest of Britain's hotels."
An accomplished author, Rosemary has also written several books, including Knickers: An Intimate Appraisal, Bras: A Private View and Stockings and Suspenders: A Quick Flash.
The Knicker Lady runs until July 3. Tickets cost £10, £7 concessions. For bookings call 01225 448844.
