MELINDA Messenger is being driven crazy by her husband Wayne's non-stop singing.
Wayne Roberts, 28, is the lead singer of Swindon jazz funk band ZeroT, which will be playing at the Old Town Bowl tomorrow night as part of the Old Town Festival.
And Melinda, 33, will be among the crowds, even though she is driven up the wall by Wayne practising at home.
He said: "I sing round the house all the time and it really gets on her nerves.
"When she shouts 'Will you stop' I sing right in her ear."
Wayne is also asked to be quiet by their four-year-old son, Morgan. In fact the only person who doesn't bat an eyelid when he belts out his songs in the living room is their six-month-old daughter, Evie.
He said: "Morgan is growing up fast and just tells me to shut up. But little Evie just smiles at everything."
Wayne only joined the band, formerly called Superfly, last year but he has loved singing all his life.
The group rehearses in bass player Kevin Cole's garden shed in Swindon. But recently rehearsals have been thrown into disarray.
Wayne said: "We're having a baby boom. Our keyboardist Hugh has two-month-old Charlie, Kev has six-week-old Toby and then of course there's Evie.
"So we're all juggling band practice with changing nappies."
Besides singing, he also writes the lyrics with a little help from Melinda.
In fact the model turned TV presenter is responsible for weeding out all the worst bits.
Wayne said: "Melinda is a very good lyricist and throws out all the naff lines. She's probably behind 25 per cent of the words. She's definitely my best critic."
As for listening to other music, their tastes are not identical.
Although they both like the melodic rock of Cold Play and Travis, the similarities end there.
He said: "We both go off on our own tangents.
"Melinda likes Kylie Minogue and Mad-onna. I'm more into obscure rock and funk bands. But generally I will listen to anyone, apart from Peter Andre."
Melinda will also be bringing their children to watch ZeroT in action, weather permitting.
She said: "I support Wayne's singing wholeheartedly even though he does it all the time.
"I'm really looking forward to his gig because he is such a great performer. I love the band's music. Let's hope the weather holds off."
But the family cannot stay up too late because they have a busy day on Sunday. The Messengers are moving from their home in Lower Wanborough to a new house in Lydiard.
ZeroT will perform at the Town Bowl, in the Old Town Gardens, at around 8pm. Admission is free.
Wayne's words
Inspiration for Wayne's lyrics strike at any time, any place. He was once driving to London on the M4 and had to pull over to jot a few lines down.
He ended up scribbling on a Starbucks coffee cup the only paper he could find. He said: "A few words turned into an entire song.
I just had to get it all down. The song is called Taking Your Soul and it's one of our best ones." Wayne also writes his songs at home in the living room.
He even keeps a notebook by his bedside, in case he wakes during the night with an idea for lyrics. He said: "My pad travels all over the house. But sometimes I can Improvise lyrics without even writing them down."
