AN award-winning brass band from a Trowbridge school will perform at the world's largest youth festival held in London next month.
The John of Gaunt brass band will perform at the National Festival of Music For Youth, hosted at three concert halls on London's South Bank from July 5-10, for the fifth year in a row.
More than 300 young musicians playing in the festival come from the south west, with John of Gaunt one of the few school bands to be handpicked for the glittering event.
They will perform alongside the JAG Mount Charles Youth Band considered to be one of the best brass bands in the region.
A total of 59 Music For Youth regional festivals were held up and down the country with an estimated 43,000 young performers taking part.
Out of those, only 10,200 were asked to perform at the London event.
