15341/01MORE than 100 people turned out at Trowbridge Park last Wednesday for a teddy bears picnic in the sun.
The picnic is an annual event organised by the West Wilts Pre-School Learning Alliance to thank everyone for their efforts during the year.
Parents, children and staff from all the pre- schools in West Wiltshire attended.
As well as the picnic there was a bouncy castle and an ice cream man donated his services.
Elizabeth Tope, chairman of West Wilts Pre-School Learning Alliance, said: "It went really well and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves..
"It was for children aged 0-5 who have connections with our pre-school and anyone related to them.
The learning alliance is a registered and educational charity that exists nationwide.
Each region has a regional branch that looks after the pre-schools in their area and Mrs Tope believes fulfil an important role. She said: "It is our role to support the management and the staff and anyone who is involved in running a pre school.
"The whole idea of the picnic is to give everyone an enjoyable day out. We organise it every year and find it is appreciated.
