15356/8TWO cars were involved in a head-on smash which closed a major Trowbridge road on Sunday evening.
A Volvo and a Nissan Micra collided on County Way, between the Longfield roundabout and Bradley Road, leaving two people with minor injuries.
The Volvo driver, from Dorset, was taken to Trowbridge Hospital with minor chest injuries. A second man, from Westbury, was treated at the scene.
Police closed the road for nearly an hour following the crash at 6.15pm, reopening it just after 7.05pm.
The section of County Way close to the Dursley Road filter lane is a 40mph limit.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident, and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
