A NEW wrestling company is planning to put on its first shows in the next few weeks.
Forefront Wrestling was formed after a group of people broke away from UCW Wrestling, which has previously put on shows in Swindon.
The company, which has been running for three months, has now managed to raise enough money for a ring and to cover public liability insurance and is now in business.
The wrestlers have been training every Saturday at St Barnabas Church in Gorse Hill.
Secretary James Dunn said: "We are going to start networking with other wrestling clubs around the country to help bring their wrestlers to Swindon."
Forefront is putting on a display at a fun day at Pinehurst People's Centre tomorrow and its first night of wrestling is being staged at the People's Centre on Saturday, July 3.
Tickets are £5 for adults and £4 for concessions, and doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
